Individual Tuition

"Trish Delaney-Brown, in my mind, is one of the best vocal teachers this country has to offer. In my 17 years of vocal training and singing i have never come across a teacher with such in depth knowledge of vocal anatomy that is so closely coupled with years of high end professional musicianship. She will challenge you in the most rewarding ways and leave you feeling inspired. In the few months i spent with her in 2014, i learnt more with her than i did in the 15 yrs prior. I’m itching to go back!” - Mat Verevis (The Voice 2014/'Beautiful' the Carol King Story 2017)

“I saw Trish for follow up singing lessons after completing Estill 1&2. She helped me to workshop some performance pieces I was struggling with, enabled me to put what I had learned at Estill into practice and assisted with overall confidence. I have recommended her often to other musicians and actors and she would be the first person I would call on if I needed performance or vocal help”. Angelene Harris, Singer/Songwriter

Workshops and Masterclasses

"Trish is that rare human. Not only a phenomenal performer in her own right, but equally as skilled at teaching. In the workshops she has delivered for the tertiary students, she is able to communicate complicated information and concepts with clarity, humour and enthusiasm. Most importantly of all Trish never lost sight of the practical applications of the work. She seamlessly wove in exercises, audio and video examples and physical practices to support the points she was making. Students reported that they not only had their 'minds blown' with the information and approach to voice science, but that Trish had helped reframe how they thought about their own voices and sound. This is what makes her such a life changing facilitator.

I could go on about the thoroughness of her preparation, or the respectfully kind and thoughtful way she gives practical feedback during masterclass sessions, or how she answers questions and encourages discussion in a manner which never belittles a lack of knowledge. But instead perhaps I shall end with; Trish runs workshops the way she performs jazz - intelligently, effortlessly, engagingly and leaves everyone wanting more.

"Trish Delaney-Brown is a superb vocalist who is also an outstanding clinician and educator. Northholm Grammar School engaged Trish’s services in 2015 for a three-day Music Camp, where duties included running workshops for our Combined Choir (92 members), Senior and Junior Choir masterclasses and also smaller clinics working with vocalists in our Buskers Club and Rock Bands. Trish designed equally interesting and engaging programs for all the groups – and in particular was motivating to all our students, both singers and non-singers in helping them improve their vocal skills and realise the true joy of singing together. Trish has highly developed communication skills and is a consummate musician.

I unreservedly recommend Trish for any Vocal training experiences,
whether one-on-one or large group". David Stratton - Northholm Grammar School,
Coordinator of Co-Curricular Music

"Trish is a warm, inspiring and highly competent vocal teacher with a vast knowledge of vocal anatomy and physiology. In 2014, as part of the ANU School of Music Winter Jazz Festival we were extremely fortunate to host Trish as one of our feature artists, presenting a sell-out show with jazz faculty and Distinguished Artists in Residence, as well as a series of workshops, masterclasses and individual lessons for jazz/contemporary vocal students enrolled in BMus Performance. She steered students through the complex elements of functional vocal technique as well as stylistic interpretation, jazz phrasing and improvisation, and stage craft, modifying her approach to cater to each individual’s needs. Trish is one classy, generous, patient and clever lady, not to mention a world-class performer, arranger and composer"! Rachael Thoms - BMus (Hons), MMus
